I was offered the opportunity to participate in a remix competition for this song that was originally produced by Karriem Riggins (J Dilla, Slum Village, Dwele, Common, The Roots, etc.). The original was somewhere around 110 bpm, so I opted to dial it back somewhere around 95 or so. The label never picked it up, but I really dig the final version, so here it is! Search for "Lagos vs. New York" to peep Karriem's original!
